Electrical Installations
Full or partial rewiring domestic and commercial premises e.g., loft conversions, shops and offices. Service includes:
- Single and three phase power systems,

- Ethernet using Cat 6 cables and RJ45 plugs.
Lighting
Mounting new lights or fixing faults in existing lights:
- Downlights, pendant lights and chandeliers,
- Lights in offices, shops and homes,
- Emergency lighting,
- Solving flickering light problems.
CH/ HW Systems
Wiring central heating and hot water systems consisting thermostats, water valves and hot water tanks:
- Installing or replacing regular wired heating and hot water controllers,
- Installing wireless and smart controllers like Nest or Hive.
Other Services
- Replacing sockets and sockets with USB chargers,
- Investigating tripping fuses,
- Connecting electrical appliances,
- Wired and wireless smoke alarms and CO detectors.

Who is Volta Spark?
Volta Spark is a sole trader electrician based in Putney (south west London).
I’m a fully qualified, hardworking and patient electrical engineer. I’m familiar with current wiring regulations. My knowledge and experience make me able to erect a good, flawless and safe electrical installation in your home or your business.

Prices
Costs of typical jobs
Electrical Installations
Per socket, fixture and outlet:
- £55 in hollow wall,
- £80 in masonry wall,
- £55 in PVC conduit and trunking mounted on surface,
- £80 in metal conduit and trunking mounted on surface.
Consumer Units
I install consumer units only when erecting new installation. Prices include Electrical Installation Certificate.
- £450 for single phase consumer unit up to 12 circuit breakers,
- £550 for three phase distribution board up to 12 circuit breakers,
- £15 for each breaker above 12.
CH/ HW Wiring
- £150 for wiring CH/ HW system with valves,
- £150 for wiring smart thermostat,
- £70 for replacing simple thermostat.
Appliance Connection
- £80 for fixed connection appliance like oven or hob,
- £100 for changing extractor fan in bathroom,
- £150 for changing kitchen hood.
Lights and Sockets
Fitting new item or replacing old one with new. Minimum calling charge is £70.
- £5 for just lamp,
- £25 for standard light fitting,
- £10 for light switch, dimmer switch, socket and so on.
Hourly Rates
Apply where it is difficult to set a fixed price due to unpredictable duration of investigating and repairing faults:
- £80 for the first 2 hours,
- £40 per hour thereafter.
Prices do not include materials.
Cost of detailed estimate starts from £200 and may rise for large property. Once the work is completed, the final bill will be reduced by the cost of estimate.
All works are performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with BS 7671 (IET) wiring regulations, BS 5839-6:2019+A1:2020 standards for domestic fire alarms and BS EN 50292 requirements for CO alarms. This is important for keeping electrical system safe, efficient and in peak condition.
